Engineering Manager

Location: Athens (hybrid)

As of now, we are looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager for one of our Teams working on the Rider experience within the Rider Domain. 

The Rider team is dedicated to delivering a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone using FREENOW. We focus on building intuitive, reliable, and user-friendly solutions that make getting from A to B effortless—no matter how you choose to ride.

• 🚕 Taxi & PHV Booking
  Enable quick and reliable access to traditional taxis and private hire vehicles (PHVs), tailored to user preferences and availability.
  
• 📱 Smooth Multi-modal Experiences
  Build features that let riders switch between transport types with ease, all within a single app.
  
• 💡 Customer-Centric
  Constantly improve through feedback, data insights, and user testing to ensure every ride feels effortless.

Collaborate with an experienced product peer and other key stakeholders from Operations to Customer Success and beyond.  

• Overseeing Product Delivery
  Drive the execution of our Rider product vision, ensuring transparency and championing sustainable, reliable solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  Work closely with Product, Design, Operations, Customer Success, and other Tech Leads to align efforts and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Process Improvement
  Identify opportunities to enhance our software development workflows and collaborate with your team to implement solutions that align with business objectives.
• Demonstrating Strong Technical Acumen
  Apply best-in-class engineering practices, remain informed about emerging technologies, and refine development strategies to ensure high quality and scalability.
• Team Growth & Development
  Mentor team members by recognizing their strengths, providing constructive feedback, setting clear goals, and fostering professional growth.

• You have a strong software engineering background, with experience building systems across multiple platforms (e.g., backend, frontend, mobile).
• You are proficient in one or more programming languages.
• You have great communication skills and can explain complex processes to non-technical stakeholders.
• You excel at creating a sense of partnership among diverse stakeholders, forming a unified team.
• You can work effectively across different teams to drive alignment and achieve results.
• You possess strong analytical skills and can troubleshoot issues in complex systems.
• You have a growth mindset and adapt quickly to change.
