About the Role:

As an Engineering Manager / Architecture, Infrastructure & Operations, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for core platform architecture, infrastructure, and operations for our digital ecosystem. You will ensure smooth integration, reliability, and security across our applications and backend systems while optimizing the team’s performance and technical excellence.

What you will be doing:

• Team Leadership & Growth:
• Manage and mentor a team of 8-10 direct reports across Architecture, Infrastructure, and Operations, coaching their growth and ensuring high work quality.
• Establish clear priorities and processes to streamline Agile workflows and drive continuous improvement.
• Recruit and scale the software engineering and operations teams to support our growing needs.
• Bridge communication and collaboration with external component teams for seamless integration and execution.
• Architecture & Infrastructure:
• Lead integration efforts with Honda’s regional teams and platforms.
• Drive DevSecOps best practices, ensuring security and threat analysis across applications.
• Oversee tooling and CI/CD pipeline management for efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate large-scale architectural initiatives across multiple components.
• Operations & Reliability:
• Oversee production support, release management, and system health monitoring for Honda and Acura applications.
• Establish effective incident & problem management processes, including triaging and resolving production issues.
• Support mobile apps, backend systems, and business dashboards to maintain seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate logs and optimize performance.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in Engineering Management, Program Management, or related leadership roles, managing teams of 5+ engineers.
• Strong technical background in mobile app development (iOS, Android, web, or cross-platform technologies).
• Experience leading large-scale projects spanning multiple teams.
• Proven ability to implement Agile/Scrum methodologies in engineering teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese to facilitate collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel 10-20% of the time as needed for collaboration with key stakeholders.
