The Role

Secureframe is on a mission to help organizations build trust and stay secure at every stage of growth. With increased data breaches and cyberattacks across industries, companies are demanding higher security and compliance standards from their vendors, but getting compliant can take a year or more, slowing a company’s speed-to-market and sales.

Secureframe’s security compliance automation platform enables any organization to have rigorous security and compliance practices without the need to be security experts. Secureframe is a Series B company (read our release) backed by top VCs including Kleiner Perkins, Accomplice, Gradient Ventures (Google’s AI Fund), BoxGroup, Village Global, and many more.

The Engineering Manager role at Secureframe is a key position spearheading the development and refinement of the workforce product set, focusing initially on debugging and then on rebuilding policies and user access frameworks in collaboration with the Product Manager. Joining Secureframe's engineering team offers the chance to make visible impacts within a thriving company, working alongside a team known for its intelligence, humility, and collaborative spirit. Unique to this role is the opportunity to redefine an essential product area and be part of a stable and dedicated team.

We are looking for individuals in the United States and Canada.

What You'll Do

  • Build and lead a team of 4-7 individuals through effective recruitment, mentoring, leadership, and performance management.
  • Build amazing, delightful products that win the market.
  • Work with Product Managers to define the roadmaps.
  • Plan and drive project execution.
  • Drive product quality, reliability, and user experience.
  • Assist with sales and customer calls.
  • Review and oversee technical design documentation and decisions.

Who We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in managing, leading, and inspiring a team of remote engineers, including hiring, retaining, and managing performance.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a software engineering role, with proven technical leadership skills and expertise in designing scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions.
  • Proficient in agile team software development and strong project management, delivering complex projects within defined timelines and resource constraints.
  • Adept at collaborating cross-functionally, communicating effectively, and aligning efforts to achieve common goals.
  • Passionate about technology, staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
