As an engineering manager, you will have the opportunity to work on mission-critical projects directly impacting the evolution of our business. You will collaborate with engineering leadership to support and evolve our engineering culture. You will apply your software engineering and leadership experience by guiding our engineers as they build highly-performant APIs and integrate with high-traffic front-end experiences. You will foster innovation as we explore new technologies and engineer better solutions for demanding business needs.

Where You'll Be

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Atlanta office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to implement software solutions on a suite of pharmacy and drug pricing applications
  • Leverage your experience to improve our SDLC
  • Champion Agile methodologies for rapid execution and iteration
  • Empower your team to produce high quality deliverables, well-written code, and technical documentation
  • Optimize the performance, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness of our applications
  • Learn and develop your skills as an engineering manager

What We’re Looking For

  • People development: You have at least three years of experience building and leading software development teams and delivering working software together with them. Your experience includes hiring, as well as having engineers directly reporting to you and supporting them in their growth.
  • Technical Expertise: You have a strong ability to develop systems that meet architectural objectives including reusable, scalable code
    • 5+ years scoping, building and supporting APIs and services
    • Experience with back-end development using Java and JavaScript
    • Experience with developing for and deploying to a cloud platform like Azure
  • Remote work: You bring experience working with distributed teams.
  • Delivery: You are knowledgeable about modern software engineering practices and how to apply them in different teams. You believe in agile and lean values. You have experience using these methods in practice and delivering value. 
  • Leadership: You are a servant leader, an effective communicator, and a strong collaborator who emphasizes continuous learning, and you know what it takes to build strong, productive teams. You thrive on developing people and building inclusive teams.

  • Communication: You’re an effective communicator and bring strong feedback skills to your teams

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $138,450 - $185,000 
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
