What this job involves:
- Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire services, lifts / escalators, and building management systems.
- Ensure stringent and stable temperature and humidity controls are maintained across all exhibition and storage areas to protect sensitive artifacts
- Lead, mentor, and manage the in-house engineering and technical teams, sources, manage and evaluate the performance of external subcontractors and service providers
- Ensure all facilities and operations comply with local statutory requirements, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety standards. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits
- Prepare and manage annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets. Plan, execute and oversee facility upgrade projects, renovations, and energy-saving initiatives
- Develop, implement, and optimize comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset lifecycles
- Act as the lead coordinator for facility-related emergencies, ensuring robust business continuity and emergency response plans are in place and regularly tested
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor's Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Member of HKIE or equivalent professional body (e.g. CEng, RPE) is highly desirable
- Registered Electrical Worker Grade C is a strong plus
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in building services, and facilities management, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. Experience in museums, art galleries, data centers or other critical environments with strict climate-control requirement is highly preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of large-scale of HVAC systems, BMS, and electrical distribution systems
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese
