Job Title: Engineering Manager
Reports To: Factory General Manager
Position Summary:
Position manages the designers and order related engineer(s) and techs, as well as the technical documentation coordinators in the preparation of submittal documentation and production documentation required to support sales orders and their release through production and to the customer. Technical expert for customer witness testing and product knowledge
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage work assignments and workload of personnel.
• Manage and report on department on metrics.
• Manage or provide technical support and guidance to other departments.
• Support operations in planning and scheduling of orders.
• Correct and provide future mitigation to reduce warranty.
• Review and provide disposition of Non-Conformance Material Requests (NCMR) assigned to ORE.
• Review and provide actions for Process Deviation Requests assigned to ORE.
• Audit Technical Resource Center (TRC) usage and efficiency. supporting ORE.
• Support and foster ORE harmonization with other ORE departments throughout the organization.
• Develop and manage processes that improve department efficiency through forms and tools.
• Prepare and manage department budget.
• Interview, hire/fire new personnel.
• Develop performance metrics and conduct performance reviews.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Education:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Desirable:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Master Degree in Business Management
Experience:
- Required: 5+ years in engineering and design, and 3+ years in management.
- Desirable: 7+ years in engineering and design, and 5+ years in management.
Skills:
- Required:
- CAD Experience in 3D modeling and drafting
- Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication verbally and written in English.
- Customer service and communication skills.
- Problem Solving, sense of urgence, data and execution driven
Desirable:
- Siemens NX
- AutoCAD Inventor and Vault
- Project Management
- SAP
- VBA Visual Basic programming.
- Knowledge of ASME Y 14.5M 2018 standards.

The ability to analyze situations, gather information, and make autonomous choices within established guidelines and company policies.
May involve overseeing a team, assigning tasks, and empowering others to make decisions within their scope of responsibility.

• Accuracy of department submittal packages
• Accuracy of department bill of materials (BOM).
• Accuracy within department Worflow ERP.
• Accuracy of department drawing checks.
• On-time Delivery of the documents listed above.

• Ability to work with others in department.
• Ability to work with other outside of department.
