Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Engineering Manager (M3) with a strong background in web and mobile application development to nurture and lead our dynamic and innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of delivering high-quality software, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for fostering cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities

Guide and support a team of engineers in developing web and mobile applications, ensuring the Agile delivery of high-quality software that aligns with the organization's strategic goals

Plan and manage the development roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements

Coordinate cross-functional and cross-organizational projects, bringing together efforts across multiple teams and departments to achieve common goals

Identify and address risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
-
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define the product roadmap and technical requirements

Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, supporting their growth and career development

Uphold best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation
-
Continuously refine engineering processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Manage the performance of the engineering team, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback

Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies, integrating them into the development process as appropriate

Oversee resource planning and allocation to ensure the optimal performance of the team

Help the team grow and evolve as the organization expands, ensuring that engineering resources are effectively allocated and optimized

Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments to ensure alignment and clarity
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
-
8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
-
Strong proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.)

Experience with mobile development platforms (iOS, Android, Kotlin) and frameworks (React Native, Flutter, etc.)

Familiarity with backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Java, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
-
Proven track record of managing and delivering complex software projects

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions
-
Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize tasks effectively
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Experience with Agile development methodologies

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Contributions to open-source projects or participation in the tech community
