- Contribute to the broader Tax Engineering organization through technical leadership, process and tooling improvements.
- Lead, coach, retain, and recruit engineers on the team.
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team.
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus ten (10) years of experience in Software Engineering, of which, at least 5 years must be post bachelor's progressive experience.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:
- Managing, building and leading engineering teams delivering software products;
- Applying hands-on technical expertise at scale to guide architecture and technical strategy resolutions in collaboration with staff engineers;
- Designing, delivering, and operating business critical services at scale;
- User-facing product, front-end and back-end services, scaling database systems, and API design on a team of 4- 8 engineers;
- Designing and building services in monolithic and multi service architectures; and
- Devops and operational ownership, from standing up observability posture through managing and iterating on operational rigor and on call health.
Salary: $274,456 - $321,800/yr.
This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.
40 hrs/week
100% Telecommuting permitted.

Skills Required
