You will play a vital role in crafting data-intensive solutions to prevent exploitation while working closely with both R&D mission and business units across Spotify. • Design and deploy scalable, data-intensive systems to apply our subscription platform rules, both within the user journey and through offline analysis.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for stopping opportunistic behaviour, working closely with business teams, R&D missions, and stakeholders across the company to build appropriate strategies and tactics.
  • Lead the implementation of a cohesive, scalable infrastructure capable of adapting to new opportunism tactics and patterns, ensuring that our efforts transition from point-to-point fixes to sustainable, long-term solutions.
  • Take an active role in technical decisions, system architecture, and code reviews to ensure the solutions meet business needs and Spotify technical standards.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams, with a focus on building and scaling data-intensive systems.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with customers, partners, and team members to develop actionable strategies based on sophisticated technical concepts.
  • Strong ability to bridge technical and business domains, aligning cross-team efforts and facilitating effective communication and decision making.
  • Experience in building scalable systems that integrate data collection and processing capabilities.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a constantly evolving landscape, with a focus on developing sustainable, compliant long-term solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with data-heavy domains, capable of processing and analyzing large vector sets across multiple sources to detect patterns and drive or influence customer lifecycle events.
  • Eagerness to work in a “blue team” environment, defending against exploitation threats and staying one step ahead of abusers.
  • Experience with fraud prevention and detection, and subscription E-commerce or similar domains.
  • Expertise with data analysis tools, anomaly detection, and scalable data processing platforms and Spotify standards.
  • A track record of leading teams in financially critical, high-accuracy environments.
