About the teamThe Solutions Engineering team’s mission is to unlock productivity across all of Stripe’s internal systems. We build solutions to transform core processes for Finance, Accounting, People, Legal, Sales, Marketing and more. We orchestrate the full automation lifecycle: using AI for planning, analysis and reasoning and deterministic scripts + code + pipelines for reliable & trustworthy execution. We enable tech and non-tech to build hybrid Code + NoCode automations while working with central Operations, Developer Productivity, Infra and ML teams on behalf of all Internal Systems customers to build powerful platforms together.
What you’ll doWe’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for streamlining complex systems and driving operational efficiency. In this role, you'll analyze existing processes across Stripe’s internal systems, leverage automation platforms where possible, and design new solutions when needed. You will implement cutting-edge automation solutions including AI Agents, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), data pipelines, and by building best-in-class platforms. You’ll be responsible for continuously improving workflows to maximize efficiency and deliver meaningful business impact across a broad set of internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Lead your team of talented engineers to design and deploy data pipelines and intelligent workflows that streamline operations for internal customers including Finance, Accounting, Legal, People, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- Collaborate with product managers and talk directly with users to drive a high-impact, prioritized roadmap for your team
- Recruit, coach, mentor, develop, and grow engineers on your team
- Be deeply involved in launching new product features and capabilities
- Partner with engineers and product managers across Stripe to ensure your features are integrated into the Stripe suite

Minimum requirements- 5+ years of engineering management experience and 10+ years of overall experience in the industry.
- Proven experience working on high-scale systems with robust technical foundation
- Works very well cross-functionally, and is able to think rigorously and make hard decisions and tradeoffs.
- Thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
- Encourages a healthy work environment that’s both supportive and challenging and enables engineers to do their best work.
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience in solving large scale and difficult technical problems.
- Ability to work with diverse internal teams and stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Operations, and other business functions
- Experience with AI, LLM, or ML technologies is highly valuable
- Understanding of context-driven AI agents that can autonomously figure out solutions when given business problems and context
