Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager, Software leads a team of software engineers, QA engineers, Lead Software engineers and Lead QA engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions that power healthcare SaaS applications. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in cloud-native development, healthcare compliance, and AI integration. The Engineering Manager will drive innovation, ensure alignment with organizational goals, and foster a high-performing engineering culture.
The manager collaborates cross-functionally to integrate intelligent data capabilities into products and ensures alignment with healthcare compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership & Scalable Architecture
Expertise in cloud-native development (e.g., microservices, containers, CI/CD).
Ability to architect secure, scalable systems that meet healthcare standards like HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR.
2. AI Integration & Innovation
Experience integrating AI/ML into SaaS platforms for predictive analytics, clinical decision support, and operational efficiency.
Familiarity with AI model lifecycle management and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
3. Healthcare Compliance & Security
Deep understanding of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, FHIR).
Ability to implement secure coding practices and data protection measures.
4. Strategic Execution & Agile Delivery
Proficiency in agile and DevOps methodologies.
Capable of aligning engineering efforts with business goals and managing complex project lifecycles.
5. Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Skilled in mentoring, recruiting, and retaining top engineering talent.
Strong communication and stakeholder management across clinical, regulatory, and executive teams.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
15+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
Proven track record in managing engineering teams and delivering enterprise-grade SaaS solutions.
Experience with AI/ML, cloud platforms, and healthcare interoperability standards.

Interoperability Expertise: HL7, FHIR, and EHR integration leadership.

Disaster Recovery: Business continuity planning for cloud-native systems.
