About the Role:
Our Brokerage Platform powers critical operations, from processing incoming order traffic to managing post-trade workflows like clearing and settlements. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the engineering team(s), combining hands-on expertise with people management to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performance systems. This role requires balancing people leadership with technical know-how, providing mentorship, solving complex problems, and driving the successful delivery of mission-critical solutions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring back office platforms reliability, availability, and alignment with strategic goals in a highly regulated financial environment.

What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage a team of talented engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for professional growth
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps that align with business goals, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions
- Actively participate in problem-solving and decision-making, offering hands-on technical expertise as needed
- Oversee the design and delivery of scalable, resilient systems capable of handling high throughput, low-latency transactions, and 24x7 availability
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the engineering team
- Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, code coverage, architecture, testing automation, and operational excellence
- Design and implement automation frameworks for testing and deployments to improve development velocity and system reliability
- Collaborate across teams to ensure functional and operational requirements are met in both cloud-native and on-premises environments
- Champion non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and disaster recovery
- Manage production environments, ensuring systems are fault-tolerant, self-healing, and designed for operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to industry security, compliance, and privacy standards critical to the financial services domain
What You'll Need:
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, including a track record of managing and mentoring teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive teams toward achieving business and technical goals
- Hands-on expertise in architecting and building high-availability, scalable systems with an understanding of fault tolerance and disaster recovery
- Proficiency in modern development practices, including microservices architecture, API-driven design, and event-driven systems
- Deep understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms like AWS (e.g., EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda)
- Solid experience with database technologies, both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB)
- Proven track record in implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality software releases
- Strong understanding of operational excellence, including monitoring, logging, and incident management
- Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas effectively to technical teams and business stakeholders
- A passion for solving complex problems, mentoring teams, and driving innovation.
Nice to Have, But Not Required:
- Familiarity with advanced architectural patterns and event-driven designs.
- Expertise in cost optimization and modernizing legacy systems within capital markets.
- Experience with managing brokerage books and records, clearing, settlements or DTCC
- Prior experience with Agile frameworks like SAFE

Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.
