A Brief Overview
Responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers to meet productivity targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Provides engineering guidance and expertise to an engineering team composed of Component Designers, Engineering Interns, and possibly Professional Engineers.
What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the effective leadership of an engineering team
  • Mentor team members and promote their professional growth
  • Discuss projects with other Supervisors or Engineers for compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Review customer and/or Product Management Team's specified parameters for building components.
  • Creates and review parameters against engineering standards
  • Discuss design modifications and reviews appropriate design methodologies with customers and/or Product Management Team's
  • Assists customers and/or Product Management Team's in troubleshooting issues and design problems
  • Resolve customer and/or Product Management Team's complaints
  • Maintain harmony among workers and resolves grievances
  • Help assigned customers to engineers and manages workload among engineers
  • Answer technical questions from customers and employees
  • Support development of procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained

  • Responsible for the professional development of team members, play a key role to guide, coach, and provide constructive feedback to support team members to reach their full potential. Qualifications
  • Bachelors Engineering required
  • 4+ Years of related engineering experience required
  • Experience leading project and/or initiatives required
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
  • Licensed Professional Engineer - Any State Board preferred

Additional Requirements

This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
