Engineering Manager, Navigation SDK

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the Nav SDK team in advancing the maps and navigation ecosystem at Mapbox. In this role, you will:

• Mentor and Develop Talent: Support and inspire engineers, fostering a culture of growth, creativity, and innovation.

• Promote Collaboration and Innovation: Build an inclusive and collaborative environment where data-driven decisions fuel success.

• Drive Strategic Objectives: Align your team’s work with company and product goals, ensuring strategic cohesion.

• Define Product Roadmaps: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap for our Maps SDKs.

• Shape the Vision: Play a key role in envisioning and evolving our rendering engines, contributing to business and product planning.

• Leadership Experience: Proven success managing technical teams to deliver impactful products.

• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with mobile development frameworks, tools, and best practices for building and deploying mobile apps across platforms.

• Talent Acquisition and Development: A track record of hiring and growing top technical talent.

• Operational Excellence: Commitment to monitoring, metrics, and continuous improvement processes.

• High Standards and Quality: Balancing speed and quality to uphold an excellent developer experience.

• Ownership and Execution: Confidence in leading vision, strategy, and execution for high-impact projects.

• Experience in Mobile SDK Development, including architecture and design patterns.

• Knowledge of Maps and Location Technologies, such as GIS systems
