DevOps Engineering Manager I

Experience: 8–12 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead a small team of engineers in the areas of DevOps, server administration, and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Linux, AWS, Python, and SQL, along with proven experience in managing and mentoring team members. Exposure to geospatial technologies, FME, and Tableau is a plus.

• Lead and manage a team of 2–3 engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Oversee the administration and optimization of Linux-based servers and AWS infrastructure.
• Drive DevOps best practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems and applications.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and strategic planning.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• FME (Feature Manipulation Engine)
• Geospatial Domain Knowledge
• Tableau or other BI Tools

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
