Engineering Manager (Data)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a critical engineering area and manage a high-performing team of senior engineers. You will own delivery, technical direction, team development, and engineering excellence across multiple related product domains.

• Lead and mentor a team of 6–10 senior engineers, potentially across multiple squads.
  
• Own technical strategy, architecture, and delivery for complex engineering initiatives.
  
• Partner with Product and business stakeholders to align engineering priorities with business outcomes.
  
• Drive scalable, reliable, and high-performing system architecture.
  
• Manage cross-team dependencies, resource allocation, delivery risks, and technical trade-offs.
  
• Develop senior engineers and mentor future Engineering Managers and technical leaders.
  
• Drive hiring, performance management, succession planning, and team structure decisions.
  
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt, platform improvements, reliability, and scalability.
  
• Establish strong engineering practices around architecture, CI/CD, observability, quality, and operational excellence.
  
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  

• 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including senior engineers.
  
• Strong experience delivering complex initiatives across multiple teams or product domains.
  
• Strong software engineering background with experience in technologies such as Java/Go, Kubernetes, Cloud Services, CI/CD, microservices, and messaging systems.
  
• Experience leading architecture discussions and influencing engineering strategy.
  
• Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems, APIs, reliability, and performance.
  
• Experience partnering closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders on roadmaps and prioritization.
  
• Proven ability to mentor senior engineers and develop future engineering leaders.
  
• Strong experience with Agile delivery and managing complex cross-functional dependencies.
  
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
  

• Experience working in FinTech, Payments, Banking, eCommerce, or high-scale consumer technology products.
  
• Experience managing multiple squads or interconnected engineering domains.
  
• Experience building platforms or products serving large-scale user bases.
  
  

• Work on complex, high-impact engineering and product challenges.
  
• Lead experienced engineering teams with significant ownership and autonomy.
  
• Collaborate directly with senior product, technology, and business leaders.
