As Engineering Manager: Chiller Product Development, you will lead mechanical and design engineering activities for industrial refrigeration and chiller products. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of mechanical and design engineers supporting chiller product development.
  • Own the end-to-end development process from concept, design, prototyping, and testing through production release.
  • Prepare and review 3D models, engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Generate and review pressure vessel and heat exchanger drawings and specifications to meet order and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, procurement, marketing, and customer-facing teams to align engineering output with business needs.
  • Drive product improvements that enhance performance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Support validation activities, design reviews, and engineering changes for new and existing products.
  • Evaluate technologies, materials, and design approaches that strengthen product competitiveness.
  • Support field and service teams with technical expertise and issue resolution when needed.
  • Mentor team members and build engineering capability through coaching, review, and feedback.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration or chiller product design and development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Creo.
  • Experience with product development processes including DFMEA, DVP&R, and stage-gate methodologies.
  • Experience creating and reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with ASHRAE, ISO, PED, ASME, or API requirements in product development or compliance work.
  • Exposure to pressure vessel and heat exchanger design for industrial refrigeration applications.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, procurement, or field issue resolution in a product development environment.
