Job Description and Responsibilities
General
Help us lead the future of commercial aircraft modifications in Boeing Global Services. We are looking for a strong technical leader with deep, evidential background in driving safety and technical excellence, innovation and best practices within complex and matrix organisations.
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager - Integration, the successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplined, agile team of Airworthiness Engineers who provide airworthiness support and guidance across our modification programs. The successful candidate will bring with them leadership, mentoring and decision-making skills and perform their role with integrity and pride both in their work and the work of the team.
Management Duties
- Must be able to deal with management at all levels, both internally and externally
- Assist leading the execution of engineering activities across BGS EASA Mods and ensure all products and services are delivered in compliance with EASA and other regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enforce engineering functional excellence in people, processes, tools and practices; driving productivity improvements and sharing best practices and lessons learnt.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manage, develop and motivate employees, including skill, career and talent development across the Airworthiness Engineering team.
- Possess an understanding of regulatory best practices, certification techniques, industry standards, principles, theories and concepts.
- Act as a Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and up-coming projects.
- Set and monitor priorities for team members.
- Manage team workload to provide development opportunities.
- Ability to seek and implement process improvements.
- Provide regular feedback to the Engineering leadership on the performance of the team.
- Must act in a professional manner in order to protect and enhance the Company's reputation as a World leader in aviation.
Education Requirements
- A recognized aeronautical or engineering degree, however other internationally recognized aeronautical qualifications will be considered based on technical knowledge and experience.
- Must be fluent in English both written and spoken.

- Experience working within an EASA Part 21 Subpart J (DOA) design organization is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of EASA CS25 requirements applicable to commercial aircraft interiors is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Boeing products and engineering systems is highly desirable.
