POSITION SUMMARY

Advanced Thin Films (ATF) manufactures optics for high energy lasers and is undertaking multiple large projects to develop new capabilities and to optimize existing capabilities and procedures.  In support of these projects, this position is responsible for executing an engineering project(s) on the Innovation and Development team and supporting the engineering tasks related to the facility move.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing a project timeline and scope for the determined project(s)
• Following the project design review process
• Communicating and working with all relevant stakeholders that include engineers, technicians, and senior leadership
• Determining and acquiring all needed consumables, tools, and equipment for the project
• Developing, executing, and analyzing the tests and test results within the project
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to schedule resources and time on equipment
• Help with daily tooling design and assembly needs
• Documenting project(s) and task progress
• Effectively transitioning the project to another team member at the conclusion of the internship
• Present the project and other accomplishments to key stakeholders at the conclusion of the internship

• Work well with cross-functional teams to communicate results and plan daily tasks

• Identify, research, and resolve issues
• Work well with time and resource limitations

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in STEM field

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $35,800.00 - $53,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
