Our summer internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real world experience in their field of study. We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where you learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. This internship takes place at our Rensselaer, Indiana location.
As an Engineer Intern at Donaldson Company, you will be a part of a group focused on a particular filtration technology – whether it is air and liquid filtration fundamentals, chemical filtration, materials technology or process technology. You will interact with multiple engineers and scientists, conduct lab testing of filter materials and products, develop new filtration solutions and aid in bringing new technologies to market for our businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and eliminate waste through lean processes.
- Assist or lead in Kaizen projects and value stream mapping.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to assist with specific project(s).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate rising junior/current sophomore or rising senior/current junior in an accredited program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
- Energetic self-starter who seeks innovative solutions
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities
- Bilingual - Spanish/English
