The Dixon, IL facility manufactures Air filtration systems for a wide variety of engine, industrial, and other special applications.

Our products are found in a wide variety of industries, including agriculture, on- and off-road equipment, power generation, pharmaceuticals, aerospace and defense, food and beverage, transportation, oil and gas and more.
A Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Donaldson for summer 2025 would be assigned to the facility engineering department and would assist with projects for new equipment and processes, manufacturing and operational improvement, preventative maintenance, and machine repair. Work side by side with the current staff and also work independently on some projects.
Your skills with SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, blueprint reading, electrical, mechanical, fabrication, carpentry and troubleshooting will be of value to this internship. Our manufacturing engineers are eager to help the right candidate grow.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing and bachelor’s degree in: Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Computer Science
- CAD experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with drafting or blueprint reading
- SolidWorks experience a plus
- Understanding of the design of experiment process
- Honed active listening skills, with intention and ability to put feedback from others into practice
- Initiative to raise questions, bring forth ideas and self-starter nature
- Interest and experience in creating presentations in PowerPoint to present to various stakeholders
- Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
- Strong communication skills
