Role Overview:
A little about the role:As an Intern Software Engineer for Skyhigh Security Engineering you will apply your technical skills and learn from experienced professionals to contribute to software development, system support, or technical projects.
This role will provide exposure to all aspects of the software development lifecycle that contribute to building high quality products our customers love, and about how security service edge products protect access and usage of company data.
In this role:
The Intern Software Engineer works within a team as part of a wider Product Group for Skyhigh Security. This role involves building strong relationships with development teams, Product Management and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements in existing systems.
Write and review code under the supervision of senior engineers.
Support system maintenance and troubleshooting.
Assist in testing, debugging, and documenting software.
Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Understanding of core programming concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
Understanding of databases.
Basic understanding of version control (e.g. Github, SVN).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly.
Desirable Skills:
Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of front-end or back-end frameworks.
Learning Outcomes:
Exposure to the vital and growing Security Service Edge (SSE) domain
Understanding of full software development lifecycle practices (design, build, test, deploy).
Experience in working within agile delivery teams.
Practical use of modern engineering tools and methods.
Skills Required
