Job DescriptionPosition Summary
Responsible for engineering data management and integrity review, cleanse and enrich material characteristic data according to supplier datasheets, develop/improve engineering documentation standards, guidelines and templates, classify and characterize materials and manage their technical documents, support other teams to achieve requisite data collection, effective document preparation, proper utilization of SAP MM (Material Master) and DMS (Document Management System).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Classify, characterize, and manage company-used components and materials as well as materials database management.
- Conduct the gate control of material creation in the ERP system, cleanse and enrich engineering characteristic data to ensure the data correctness, accuracy, completeness of materials, products and suppliers.
- Coordinate with sourcing/commodity team to obtain requisite technical documents – datasheet, specification, certificates, etc. from suppliers and manufacturers, and store/manage per company policy and requirements.
- Coordinate compliance teams to ensure material compliance to regulatory and customer requirements.
- Standardize technical documents (test plan, reports, guidelines, etc.), create documentation templates, and optimize the corresponding rules and processes.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentations.
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalents.
- 3+ years of experience in electronics industry with good knowledge of electronic components, mechanical parts, common materials and chemicals.
- Good knowledge of electronic components - operating principles, electrical characteristics and classifications, common structures & forms, and packaging.
- 3+ years of experience in Engineering Documentation & Control with fundamental understanding of product development, manufacturing and supply chain management.
- Good knowledge of engineering documentation standards and common practices, material naming conventions and terminology, description rules.
- Solid understanding of Product BOM, PLM and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Good knowledge of semiconductor industry and marketplace – suppliers, vendors, and distribution channels.
- Good Technical writing capability and communication skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft 365 - Office tools, Teams, SharePoint.
- Result-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate for continuous improvements.
