Primary function of the Engineering Checker is to assist the Change Analyst in the administering, supporting, planning, the release, and implementation of Engineering Changes affecting all functions of the Business Unit.
Secondary function of Engineering Checker is detailing as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Check drawings for relevant details that that must be present in an Engineering Change as submitted and manages the routing of those changes through their appropriate approval process thru PDM/PLM software until they are approved and released to production.
- Evaluating change requests for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to uniform engineering standards before promoting to review.
- Enforcement of uniform BOM structure standards & guidelines for upper level assemblies with both dependent & independent variable options and configurations.
- Minimize the amount of time required to take an engineering change through the process from creation to fully implemented and released to production.
- Administration powers, duties, & responsibilities for both Autodesk Inventor design and Vault Professional PDM/PLM software.
- Will receive general day-to-day guidance and coordination from Change Analyst.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s Degree or higher in technical or engineering field or equivalent experience.
- 1 – 3 years related job experience.
- Proficient in MS Office & Adobe Software products.
- Knowledge of PDM/PLM software systems is preferred.
- Proficient with Inventor, Vault Professional, & AutoCAD software or related.
- Knowledge of document control in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
- Ability to be proactive, resourceful, highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
