Position Description:
- This position is responsible for design/ engineering of Engineered pump packages, pump components, pump layouts, preparation of bill of material/project related technical documentation, Project Documentation and MIS reports of pump packages, Vendor / supplier documents, Order creation, supplier document expediting, bill of material/project related documentation.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure product safety through proper review/design and worksite safety through championing FLS policies and procedures.
- Performs work that is varied and complex, with minimum supervision.
- Consistently applies knowledge of functional concepts and prior experience to work assignments.
- Gather all relevant information for each assignment, review all the inputs, understand scope of work and complete the assigned task by meeting or exceeding customer expectation.
- Ability to support end to end support to engineered pump operations and functional team initiatives which have interdependencies with engineering work.
- Ensure proper uploading and downloading of project related documents through Flowserve approved strategic tools such as OEPDMS, Share point etc. with respect to internal and external customer comments.
- Perform work that is varied and complex with direct supervision which is related to project documents such as Order creation, Document status reports, Overdue document expediting etc. for industrial and engineered sites.
- Ability to generate dashboards and status reports for large projects involving multiple internal Flowserve sites by using Power BI and providing accurate documentation status as inputs for reporting to higher management.
- Check each design for compliance to job specifications; design form, fit, and function; safety in assembly, maintenance and operation; method and ease of manufacture; method and ease of assembly. Perform self-checking.
- Understand the complete process flow of documentation control, document preservation and computer filing.
- Drive strong engineering performance with respect to responsiveness, key indicators (OTD, KQI, utilization and efficiency).
- Prepare engineering standards/ procedures/ checklist/ learning points to minimize the errors for all types of assignments for responsible business units.
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with business units. Enhance collaboration to achieve high customer satisfaction.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with min. 3 years or of relevant design experience in Engineered Pumps.
- Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings/documents/reports.
- Familiar with Nexus, SAP, S/4HANA and Nexus OEPDMS 2.0
- Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings/documents/reports.
- Proficient in 3D design using Solidworks for pump components and assembly
- Must be conversant with GD&T (Basics & Advanced) and drafting standard ANSI Y 14.5. ISO 8062; ASME B73.1-3, ISO 2858, ISO 5199.
