As a member of the Engineering Data Analysis Team, the Engineering Analyst 1 will primarily be responsible for researching accounting imbalances reported by fielded systems. Our cash recyclers continuously monitor physical content, comparing it to the day’s transaction history. An imbalance between content and transactions indicates improper user behavior, device failure, or a latent software defect. Such Imbalances are flagged and must be researched to determine root cause and any customer debit/credit disposition. The Engineering Analyst 1 will also be called upon to conduct research on our fielded systems to quantify unit performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review nightly accounting reports from the affected systems to determine if a previously identified imbalance pattern has occurred
- Review detailed software execution trace files for new patterns
- Escalate unresolvable issues to developers and work with them to identify and resolve latent defects
- Perform statistical analysis on field performance and create reports
- Investigate additional accounting questions as required by customer(s) and other business stakeholders
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Education Level:
- 2-4 year degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar data analysis role
- Ability to create scripts/utilities to facilitate data analysis
- Relational Database skills (SQL, Postgres)
- Experience with SQL, Python, C# or other programming/scripting languages
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Affinity for working with numbers
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Problem solving skills and pattern recognition abilities
- Ability to work independently, planning and organizing activities to meet schedules
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Benefits
Pay Range: $52,000- $65,000, Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; education; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
