What You Will Be Doing
Are you someone who recognizes issues before others do? Component Validation Engineers are the lead voice of concern and praise for Micron's newest memory designs.
In this role, we develop and hone our technical skills including programming, data analysis, part debug & process. Our technical expertise is sought after as we are the tester, program and part debug specialists. We are challenged to quickly develop innovative methods and algorithmic state machines to verify the worlds newest memory technologies and feature sets. We lead technical discussions with other, worldwide Memory technical leaders as we communicate our findings! Effective team members will be highly motivated and able to self-direct.
Your Key Responsibilities Will include
Prepare for initial silicon

  • You will work with Product Engineering & Design Engineering to understand the "weakness" of the device - to prioritize testing for these areas.
  • Develop Hardware & Characterization code


Ensure that silicon meets product specifications

  • Analyze test results & feedback to partner teams - with emphasis on any parameter(s) that are marginal or failing spec


Provide technical Training & Expertise

  • Provide On-the-job (OJT) for new engineers
  • Assist with data presentation and interpretation
  • Act as product-specific point of contact
  • Participate & contribute to technical seminars


Education & Experience Necessary for Success

  • BS degree in EE, Computer or related field of engineering study
  • At least 2 programming classes - 1 of which must be C or C++ or 6 months equivalent programming experience
  • Experience with Shell Scripts (Perl, Unix, Batch, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (Nextest, Taradyne, Advantest, Verigy, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of memory architectures
  • Course work in any of the following (Semiconductor Device Physics, VLSI, Microelectronics, Computer Architecture, Statistics)
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts, C++ concepts a plus.
  • As our successful candidate, you must b able to self-direct, prioritize, and delegate in team meetings
  • Possess excellent problem solving & analytical skills
