Be the heartbeat of a Red Hat customers' digital transformation journeys and serve as a catalyst for large-scale, transformative delivery the open source way. The Red Hat Services team is looking for a Transformation Lead to join our diverse team. In this role, you will be at the center of helping our customers guide and deliver digital transformations within their organizations. As a proven industry leader, you'll coach and nurture teams undergoing transformation initiatives. You should feel comfortable working with C-level executives to support their business goals, and equally comfortable running workshops and putting together strategic proposals that support these transformation initiatives. As a Transformation Lead, you will help Red Hat and our customer base by helping lead Red Hat Services transformation engagements. You don't need to have direct experience with our technology platform and methodology, but you should have some industry experience in areas like agile methodology, software development, DevOps, change management, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), supply chain management (SCM), test-driven development (TDD) and business-driven development (BDD), ChatOps, and Everything as Code, including infrastructure, automation, documentation, compliance, etc. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Lead a large team beginning their digital transformation journey
  • Partner with customers to create the foundations of a transformational program and lead them through the transformation at the organizational scale
  • Implement cross-functional, strategic, and tactical processes to promote systemic customer success, technical excellence, employee engagement, teamwork, and quality
  • Assist customer executives in evangelizing and coaching business teams through the defined DevOps and digital transformation vision
  • Develop and deliver communication plans and roadmaps to assist in the evangelism of the transformational vision with the customers' organizations
  • Assist customers in their journeys from Day 0 through Day 2 operations and software development in support of their missions
  • Coach and enable delivery teams on modern application design and development practices
    Conduct portfolio-level reviews and team onboarding assessments
  • Use expertise in organizational design and change management practices to improve program management, team management, process management, and software development
  • Innovate on our current thinking and developing new approaches to change how organizations and teams deliver software and systems
  • Understanding of how Red Hat's platform technologies work and are positioned in the market
  • Collaborate and engage with the Red Hat Global Transformation Office (GTO) to ensure consistency of transformative vision and GTO customer involvement as necessary


What you will bring

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Expertise in DevOps principles and experience leading teams through large cultural, procedural, and technical changes
  • Understanding of domain-driven design, TDD, value stream mapping, and metrics-based process mapping
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills; public speaking skills and the ability to present in front of customers
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore best possible solutions
  • Ability to lead with imagination, courage, and curiosity
  • Understanding of the Red Hat's business strategy and economic model; good business insight and judgement
  • Knowledge of program management processes and experience with revenue-based project reporting
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%-100% to customer sites, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
  • Public sector experience is a plus
