ECS is seeking a Test Engineer to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.
Job Description:
ECS is looking for a REMOTE Test Engineer providing support for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM!
As a Test Engineer, you will deliver secure next generation technical information solutions for the nation's nuclear deterrence lifecycle. Our Mission is to provide connected, innovative, digital solutions for the success of Group 9740 component science, engineering, and production. For all work areas requested, individuals are required to have and maintain a DOE L & Q clearance. This position is remote but will require occasional onsite work.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Support/augment Cross Domain Teams
- Troubleshoot through code and log file analysis across several languages and platforms.
- Perform work from home but be ready to be onsite with short notice
Required Skills:
- Ability to obtain a L clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing, testing, and/or troubleshooting web applications, web services and APIs
- Ability to work with customers to design, write, and execute tests
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar scripting language
- Familiarity with Windows OS
Desired Skills:
- Software development background (e.g. Java, .NET, C#, Web APIs)
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills with web-based applications and services
- Experience with load and stress testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner, JMeter, Neoload, etc)
- Experience with security testing, penetration testing, and the use of web application vulnerability scanning tools and/or source code scanning tools
- An understanding of common software security vulnerabilities and defenses
- Experience deploying applications using Docker containers, Kubernetes on a private Azure Cloud
- Experience with Git
- Experience using SQL
- Experience executing test cases with proven ability to identify and isolate product defects
- Experience using common browser developer tools
- Dedication to providing a high level of customer service
- A good understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience writing test plans, manual test cases, detailed bug reports, and other test documentation
- Experience working with a test automation framework
- Familiarity with troubleshooting network traffic
- Experience configuring and maintaining a dedicated test environment
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Familiar Linux OS
