Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Summary of Duties: Start the initial translation of customerrequirements into product specifications and technical requirements fromroadmaps provided by the Electrical/Electronic Systems Managers. Support the Architectureby clearly documenting technical specifications for design and testing toensure best design practices and strategic goals are met. Serve as SubjectMatter Expert to assigned competencies, with expectation to perform researchand communicate best practices within global engineering community. Decomposerequirements from roadmaps, funnel into a standard set of Electrical/ElectronicSystems Architectures, reviewing with Subsystem, Software, Hardware, andConfiguration and Tools Engineers to document the architecture designrequirements. Interface with the Execution projects Systems Integrators toensure architecture requirements are understood, that they align to thebusiness needs, identify any gaps in architecture and business needs and highlightrisks and options for delivery of the business needs. Create technicalrequirements from customer needs and product requirements as developed byProduct Line, Marketing, Design, Usability, manufacturing, and service, etc.Interface with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Service, and outsidesuppliers for collection of requirements and to provide direct support ontechnical designs. Support performance science and agency labs in developmentof algorithms needs for the electronics controls and for creation of necessarylab development applications. Develop physical and functional validation testplans based directly on hardware, software, and configuration/tools technicalspecifications. Participate in Technical Design Previews to report on assignedarchitecture deliverables. Assist design teams with DFMEA development assystems-level subject matter expert. Ensure the Architectures are verified andvalidated for delivery to the Execution Projects being delivered by the SystemsIntegrators and support the transition from Architecture to Execution andIntegration Projects. Evaluate technology trends in other business segments,evaluating options and delivering standard architecture as they apply toAppliances.

Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor's degreein Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus two(2) years in the job offered or two (2) years as an Electrical Engineer,Embedded Software Engineer, or in a product design, embedded controldevelopment, or related engineering occupation.

Requires extensive experience inproviding technical leadership for complete projects and programs. Requiresextensive experience with overall engineering, manufacturing, and assemblyprincipals. Requires extensive experience with appliance or other relatedproduct design. Requires the ability to interpret schematics. Requiresproficiency in embedded hardware development. Requires knowledge in embeddedsoftware architecture and development. Requires experience in systemengineering requirements and the decomposition process. Requires experience inHW to ensure quality of Hardware designs or FW Framework design as we developan embedded Operating System. Requires basic knowledge in analogue, digital, orpower supply electronics. Requires knowledge of electronic productionprocesses. Requires experience with C++ and Python.
