Systems Engineer
Job Description:
The Role
Fidelity Investments is looking for a highly motivated associate with expertise in engineering and production operations. As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with engineering teams to deploy applications and business teams to coordinate incident response. You will also participate in an on-call rotation and will work with enterprise infrastructure teams to maintain, and support on-prem, non-production, and production infrastructure.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelors' Degree in a technical discipline and/or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of systems administration
- Linux systems administration experience
- Windowssystems administration experience desirable
- Application development experience desirable
- Application performance testing experience desirable
- Pipeline automation and orchestration utilizing the following stack or similar to GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode
- Coordinate timely resolution of problem tickets, incident tickets and Security findings with engineering and customer support teams
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment required
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Develop monitoring and management tools and processes
- Document processes and best practices
- Identify departmental needs and make suggestions regarding technical direction
- Accurately estimate work requirements and create detailed plans
The Team
Advanced Process Solutions is an organization focused on process automation tools and technologies for Fidelity's critical business processes and driving significant improvements in those processes - both local to individual businesses and cross-enterprise. This role is a key driver in matching the ideal process improvement tools and techniques to individual process optimization opportunities.
Within Advanced Process Solutions, the Systems Engineering team is responsible for infrastructure solutions, automation, application deployments, monitoring and production support.
