Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled, professional Technical to join our dynamic and growing IT team supporting backup and recovery services for on premise and cloud platforms. Selected individual will work collaboratively with multiple internal teams to provide the highest level of support to our internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads or co-leads core service area of backup and recovery . Establishes documentation and knowledge sharing strategy for assigned services. Works with service owners and more senior members of the team to identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Foster, build, personify on corporate and Managed Services Vision and culture.
  • Execution of assigned tasks related to service requests and one or more assigned service area maintaining excellent ticket response times.
  • Work closely with compliance team to keep the Backup/Recovery document updated.
  • Compiles with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures
  • Works closely with technology vendors to ensure adequate levels of support
  • Ability to work in a changing and active environment
  • Works independently or as part of a team to troubleshoot and resolve complex service-level technical issues.
  • Part of 24x7 on call rotation to triage Incidents. Able to troubleshoot and resolve most incidents directly or with vendor support while keeping management informed. Flexes schedule to work with colleagues globally when required.
  • Mentors peers and supporting engineers on technical skills in one's area of expertise. Escalates performance-related feedback through project and functional managers.



Requirements:

  • Advanced service-level knowledge of installed technology as it relates to backup/recovery.
  • Able to independently lead investigation and resolution of technical issues within department.
  • Significant operational experience supporting infrastructure and services
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle sensitive and pressured situations.
  • Ability to identify issues and help develop strategy and tactical plans for various department initiatives
  • Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to plan activities and contribute to budget planning for assigned technical services.
  • Ability to identify risk and provide recommendations for risk mitigation in area of responsibility and at project and technical service level.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills



Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working on a high-performing team in fast-paced, regulated environments (SOX, FDA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Strong Knowledge in Rubrik or any other backup/recovery tool.
