Your Responsibilities
As a Staff Software Engineer for John Deere Financial Worldwide Headquarters located in Johnston, Iowa, you will...
- Evaluate, design, and implement software solutions delivering high-quality products to John Deere's customers
- Collaborate with other developers and product team members to ensure success
- Design complex/significant parts of a system/sub-system or works on a complete product of broad scope and solves well-defined problems
- Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development

What Skills You Need
- 5 or more years of software development experience building Single Page/Web/Hybrid Applications, and APIs
- 2 or more years of expertise in cloud native development with public cloud providers such as AWS/Azure/GCP
- Expertise in Infrastructure As Code such as Terraform/CloudFormation
- Knowledge of building fault tolerant and resilient services while leveraging established and emerging design patterns
- Lean development and DevSecOps experience
What Makes You Stand Out
- Expertise in JavaScript,TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, ReactNative, GraphQL
- Expertise in cloud-native serverless technologies in AWS such as API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, and Route53
- Expertise in defining APIs, resource modeling, and domain modeling and building highly available systems and event-driven APIs
- Experience with defining and building Metrics & KPIs to improve customer experience and system reliability
- Experience in building Payment processing Apps/Services and integrating with Stripe, PayPal etc
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Degree in an Engineering/Technology or Information Technology discipline
