Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing
How will you make an impact?
You will be working on Next Generation Sequencing Platforms that will have a lasting impact in the world of clinical research and diagnostics.
What will you do?• Develop and manage data operation pipeline in on-prem and cloud infrastructure• Manage regular software deployment to standalone servers and Linux clusters• Troubleshoot application or system issues related to R&D clusters and servers• Support R&D projects in software configuration and data management• Work with IT to manage R&D Linux environment in multiple remote locations
How will you get here?
Education
M.S. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline with 6+ years experience; B.S. Degree with 8+ years experience
Experience• 6+ years of experience in maintaining and administering Ubuntu, CentOS/RedHat systems including cluster of Linux machines• 5+ years of experience with AWS, GCC, or Azure with emphasis on tooling for infrastructure as code and monitoring• 3+ years of experience with distributed systems or container orchestration framework preferred, i.e. Kubernetes, Marathon, Docker Swarm, or AWS ECS• 3+ years of working with data analytic tools, such as JupyterLab, Sparks, Splunk, ELK, Alteryx, Neo4J, PyTorch, Tensor Flow
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities• Highly proficient of networking fundamentals and concepts• Thorough understanding of data analysis pipeline• Strong hands on coding skills in at least one of the programming language: Java, Python, R, etc• Extensive containerization knowledge (Docker, LXD, etc.) and configuration management systems (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, etc.)
