Role Overview
Reports to the Manager of Engineering(QA), this role will work with a mixed team of on-site and off-site software engineers to turn our Product roadmap into reality!
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve quality engineering automation (functionality testing and data quality testing).
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Jenkins’s knowledge to ensure efficient execution of automation script. Understanding of development methodology.
- Strong Experience in Rest services Automation (Rest Assured or HTTP(Client)) and understanding of large JSON files is required.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities to ensure business needs.
- Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality. Experience coordinating the release activities is a plus.
- Partner with Engineering and Product Management to plan, test, and ship releases.
- Influence strategic roadmaps from a quality engineering standpoint and lead tactical bi-weekly release operations.
Ideal Profile
- 7+ years testing web, mobile, cloud-native and hybrid applications, and deep familiarity with open-source tools and workflows (e.g. Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, Robot).
- 5+ years of experience working within an agile workflow in a CI/CD environment.
- Collaborating with and working in cross-functional teams including product, user experience, project management, etc.
- Experience in developing, designing frameworks – Java/JavaScript/ Python/ Perl and web technologies. Experience working with distributed, diverse teams
- Comfort with ambiguity and a “no job too small” startup mentality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science related field and/or work experience
- A proven track record working with growing teams from the ground up and a passion for our mission.
- You are passionate about quality and quality-focused technologies for both software and data. Keen troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication skills. Proven experience as a Lead Automation Engineer or similar role
