Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Apply testing best practices to development process for software solutions.
- Build well-rounded testing strategy for the data platform.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks.
- Identify and create test data through automation.
- Influence team members through lean agile leadership.
- Mentor on software craftsmanship and quality standards.
- Develop and integrate tests using continuous deployment and integration practices.
- Participate in agile implementation and maintenance of source control and release procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and feedback to the team.
- Mentor technical members of the team.
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions.
- Identify data quality issues through automation. Propose fixes and design data audits.
- Translate technology trends into scalable solutions for the Managed Investment domain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of professional experience.
- At least 3 years in software engineering, TDD, debugging and testing.
- Ability to work with different programming languages like Python, Java, and SQL.
- Experience with agile methodologies/DevOps environment.
- Fundamental understanding of testing principles and test automation.
- Displays a strong passion for data quality and data concepts.
- Strong understanding of data Integration patterns and tooling including ELT/ETL, EII, Replication, Event Streaming and Virtualization to support batch and real-time data needs.
- Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based data architecture.
- Strong understanding of all integration testing points - data source to bronze to silver to gold.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of data stores, both operational and analytical.
- Previous experience with data warehouses, data lakes, RDDBMS, and NoSQL stores, such as: MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift.
- Provides a Strong Agile Lean Servant-Leader Model.
- Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
