About This position

The Platform Services team are experts on Netskope’s Product Architecture and Platform Architecture. As part of the Platform Engineering team that builds and maintains the Netskope platform infrastructure, Platform Services is focused on ensuring that Netskope’s full suite of Security Cloud products are provided without performance trade-offs. To do this, Platform Services focuses on observability of service performance and defining customer deployment best practices to ensure that Platform and Product products are released and adopted successfully.

The Platform Growth Engineer plays a key part in ensuring the success of the Platform Services team. As a Platform Growth Engineer you will gain a deep fundamental understanding of the Netskope suite of products, the Platform architecture and ongoing business activities. Using your expertise in these areas, you will help the Platform Services team to increase its visibility into demand and performance for the various Netskope products by developing various processes and tools. This requires broad cross-department collaboration across all of Netskope’s Engineering and Business organizations.

This is not a quota-carrying role, but responsibilities do require customer-facing engagement as an expert on the Netskope network, infrastructure, systems and products. This often includes customer executive and leadership teams. You will be expected to engage with customer-facing teams internally at Netskope, and may be required to attend customer meetings in order to guide the customer onboarding process. You should expect your time to be split between cross-functional engagement with Engineering and Product teams to discuss product and platform architecture, and with customer-facing teams to discuss platform architecture and customer deployment process.

Primary responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on the architecture and functionality of Netskope’s products
  • Be a subject matter expert on the systems and architecture of Netskope’s platform
  • Engage with Netskope customer-facing teams and their customers during the customer onboarding phase
  • Partner with the Product Marketing team to on marketing activities to promote the Netskope platform
  • Actively contribute to the Platform Service teams’ document repository about application components, platform components, field engagement and processes
  • Actively contribute to the design and development of tooling, testing, data collection, visualization and algorithms for performance measurement and forecasting
  • Actively contribute to the configuration and management of third-party vendors for observability and monitoring.

Primary responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on the functionality of Netskope’s services
  • Be a subject matter expert on the application and platform architecture of Netskope’s services
  • Engage with Netskope customer-facing teams and their customers during the onboarding process
  • Partner with the Product Marketing team to identify ways to strengthen the marketing messaging around the Netskope’s platform
  • Actively contribute to the Platform Service teams’ document repository about application components, platform components, field engagement and processes
  • Actively contribute to the design and development of tooling, testing, data collection, visualization and algorithms for performance measurement and forecasting
  • Actively contribute to the configuration and management of third-party vendors for observability and monitoring.
  • Actively contribute to the creation of periodic platform and service insight reports for the greater Platform Engineering team.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a technical customer-facing role
  • Significant hands-on experience configuring or managing core infrastructure components (Network devices, public cloud components, etc)
  • Significant experience at a network and/or security software/service company
  • Significant experience with big data, data analytics infrastructure and data science tools
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals
  • Basic level experience with Python or comparable language
  • Four year degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent on-the-job experience

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical degree, or 10+ years of extremely relevant work experience (mix of very technical and customer-facing).
