About This position

The Platform Services team at Netskope acts as the eyes and ears of the Platform Engineering team, converting business activity, usage numbers and performance observations into actionable insights. Platform Services, along with other teams within Platform Engineering, will use these insights to improve our proprietary and fully-managed Netskope Security Cloud platform.

The Platform Growth Engineer plays a key part in ensuring the success of this team. As a Platform Growth Engineer you will gain a deep fundamental understanding of the Netskope suite of services, the Platform architecture and ongoing business activities. Using your expertise in these areas you will help the Platform Services team to increase its visibility into demand for the various services that Netskope provides and develop algorithms and systems that provide insight into future demand on the various application and data center components.

Within the Platform Services team, you will work closely with the Platform Services Architects and Performance Engineers to develop and maintain the system and algorithms used to generate insights and forecast demand. This is not a quota-carrying role, but responsibilities do require customer-facing engagement. This often includes customer executive and leadership teams. You will be expected to engage with customer-facing teams internally at Netskope, and may be required to attend customer meetings in order to support the customer onboarding process. 


  • 10+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience configuring or managing core infrastructure components (Network devices, public cloud components, etc)
  • 10+ years of experience at a network and/or security software/service company
  • 5+ years of experience with big data, data analytics infrastructure and data science tools
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals
  • Basic level experience with Python or comparable language
  • Four year degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent on-the-job experience

Primary responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on the functionality of Netskope’s services
  • Be a subject matter expert on the application and platform architecture of Netskope’s services
  • Engage with Netskope customer-facing teams and their customers during the onboarding process
  • Partner with the Product Marketing team to identify ways to strengthen the marketing messaging around the Netskope’s platform
  • Actively contribute to the Platform Service teams’ document repository about application components, platform components, field engagement and processes
  • Actively contribute to the design and development of tooling, testing, data collection, visualization and algorithms for performance measurement and forecasting
  • Actively contribute to the configuration and management of third-party vendors for observability and monitoring.
  • Actively contribute to the creation of periodic platform and service insight reports for the greater Platform Engineering team.

Education & Travel

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical degree, or 10+ years of extremely relevant work experience (mix of very technical and customer-facing).
  • Under normal circumstances, travel up to 30% (primarily to HQ if remote)
