Ideal candidate has experience as a DevOps Engineer in Azure Cloud

Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswear's Digital Technology (CDT) group enables an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer on the Delivery Engineering team, you'll enable technical teams to build and deliver cloud solutions. You'll design and implement Infrastructure as Code and deployment solutions. You'll evangelize modern DevOps practices with engineering, data, security, and operations teams throughout Columbia. You'll provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members. You will independently set the technical direction for a project and lead that project to a successful outcome.

You'll work with a talented team of engineers committed to enabling teams on their cloud journey. We work closely with our stakeholders, often embedding with them on projects to help ensure their success.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • You will independently lead projects to successful outcomes.
  • You will provide technical mentorship and direction to team members
  • You will collaborate with technical teams to understand their project needs and help define and implement solutions that enable them to succeed in their goals
  • You will build and maintain our cloud automation framework
  • You will create and maintain delivery pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
  • You will help teams use code analysis tools like SonarCloud
  • You will automate the deployment of Azure PaaS solutions
  • You will help teams use Infrastructure as Code(IaC) to build modern solutions on Azure
  • You will help us build and design modern CI/CD Pipelines



YOU ARE

  • You are a strong communicator who collaborates on solutions that work for multiple stakeholders
  • You have a passion for automation, optimization, and productivity
  • You understand the cloud and the possibilities it opens up for teams to solve problems in new ways
  • You enjoy keeping up with the latest practices for IaC, CI/CD, and automation


YOU HAVE

  • You have solid skills automating the deployment of Azure PaaS offerings such as App Services, Function Apps, CosmosDB/AzureSQL, or similar resource types in other cloud solutions.
  • You have experience building and designing CI/CD pipelines.
  • You have proficient development skills in Python, PowerShell, or another scripting or programming language.
  • You've worked with Infrastructure as Code solutions like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager Templates, Ansible, or CloudFormation templates.
  • You know your way around modern source control and automation tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or others.
  • You understand the value of Test Driven Development.
