Currently, we're seeking to hire a Sr. Developer (Web), eCommerce. As a Senior Web Developer, you will oversee and manage the Development of Lovesac.com and future website needs. You will be instrumental in building features and helping achieve organizations key performance indicators. As part of the senior team, you will work with the Sr. Product Manager, UX designer, Systems Integrator, IT, customer support and other functions to understand their requirements and pain points and build features to address them.

Summary of Key Job Responsibilities:

  • You will be the subject matter expert of our digital platforms and will directly impact the user experience by working closely with the Product Managers, UX Designers, and other Engineers to ensure that the team delivers rich and sustainable experiences for Lovesacs consumers.
  • Use best practices in Adobe Commerce (Magento) Cloud platform development
  • Contribute valuable work product as a software engineer on an agile development team, solving complex and challenging technical problems with little guidance or supervision. Serve as an engineering resource for our systems integrator partners
  • Help define, design, and implement leading-edge technology solutions
  • Monitor the work product of the software engineers on the agile team to ensure quality, velocity, and adherence to architectural designs and the software engineering standards of the company.
  • Build solid back-end architectures that integrate easily with other systems and technologies
  • Understand design patterns and write reusable, modular code
  • Working closely with other disciplines (Front-end, Marketing, UX, Design, QA)
  • Have a superior attention to detail and a strong ability to Q/A
  • Translate business/technical requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Adobe Commerce / Magento platform
  • Experience using PHP to create and consume web services and data integrations within the Magento platform.
  • Research platform capabilities identify opportunities as it relates to eCommerce roadmap
  • Provide input to technical architecture and design for features implemented on the Commerce Platform, including performing code reviews and technical design reviews
  • Maintain a calm demeanor and manage issues professionally and respectfully in accordance with our company standards.
  • Act with integrity and trust, modeling behavior that respects our employees, peers, and customers in accordance with the core values of our company.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.



Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or comparable field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional Development experience
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience with Magento (Enterprise a plus) and extensions
  • Strong knowledge of Magento 2 layout xml and theming
  • Strong knowledge of Knockout.js and Underscore.js
  • Strong/expert level knowledge of Magento 2 uiComponent framework
  • Experience utilizing HTML/HTML5, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, XML, PHP, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with modern web frameworks (Vuejs, Reactjs, Angular).
  • Strong knowledge of GraphQL, AJAX, JSON, REST.
  • Strong knowledge of Fluid/Responsive Design. Experience with creating progressive web applications is a plus.
  • Proficiency with object-oriented programming concepts and design.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-platform, cross-browser and cross-device compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Experience working with distributed version control, code deployment and task management systems (GIT, Bitbucket, Capistrano, Jenkins, JIRA)
  • Experience in developing test driven solutions.
  • Experience querying and manipulating data and structures in an RDBMS such as MySQL.
  • Maintains the highest level of customer service, creating solutions and experiences that drive business results and engagement with the brand.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative user research software platforms such as UserTesting, UserZoom, Google Optimize, or Optimal workshop a plus
  • Must be results driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals.
  • Must have proven time management skills and quickly adapts to a changing business environment.
  • Able to prioritize responsibilities with the appropriate level of urgency, able to listen and can use this information to solve problems, anticipate issues and make correct decisions based on a variety of situations.

  • Proficiency required in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Must comply with the standards, policies and procedures outlined in the Lovesac Employee Handbook.
  • Must be capable of using and operating all equipment as required, including but not limited to: iPad, laptop, etc. Be able to move objects (including medium to large furniture items up to 75 pounds) from a lower to a higher position or horizontally from position-to-position or be able to assemble furniture while working on the selling floor or in our warehouse.
  • Must be able to travel, as required by the Company in its sole discretion, for occasional meetings and conferences using various forms of transportation.
  • Consistent ability to work both remotely and report into Corporate Headquarters or designated showroom, as required and in accordance with Lovesac policies, CDC, and State Guidelines.
