DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop and maintain common Java-based web services, including supporting user interface design and development for web-based financial products. Develop and test functionality to ensure quality, compatibility and usability. Ensure delivered code is high quality and conforms to exactly requirements by analyzing Spring-based applications and databases and test driving development. Perform application profiling to ensure application performance aligns to acceptable standards and implement adjustments as needed. Perform code reviews to ensure new code and features are added as per industry standards. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Web Developer, User Interface Developer, IT Consultant or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Java; J2EE; JSON; Maven; Oracle; Hibernate; Angular; Selenium; SVN; UNIX; Ant; Javascript; Junit; Microservices; Shell Scripting; Splunk; IBM MQ; CSS; GIT; SOAP and REST web services; Spring Framework; WebSphere; Apache Tomcat; Linux; Software Development; SQL; and XML.
