As a talented and motivated software engineer, you will play an integral role in providing new development, maintenance, and support for standalone applications, system level troubleshooting and web application development and maintenance. You will also help maintain an online library of technical materials, processes, operational documentation, and satellite health assessments and reports.
Are you up to the challenge?

  • Work with Satellite Control System, Satellite Engineering and Flight Dynamic and Mission Assurance teams to define and implement Web based applications and other tools/apps to improve situational awareness and operation workflow.
  • Provide Level 1 support for the ground software for the operations of the satellite fleet. Support in the deployment and maintenance of the hardware and software infrastructure of development, test, and production environments. Lead in the deployment of the ground software to the test and production environments. Support in identifying and resolving systems software and hardware issues in the test and production environments. Assist in identifying and implementing system and process improvements.
  • Showcase your testing and troubleshooting skills to test and support our Ground Network System in close collaboration with IT Operations, development teams, Satellite engineer and operation teams.
  • Work with Satellite Control System, Satellite Engineering and Flight Dynamic and Mission Assurance teams to define and implement Web based applications and tools to improve situational awareness and operation workflow.


You should definitely have:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Computer science, engineering, physics degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with developing web-based application using PHP, Python and LAMP stack.
  • Established computer skills in the fields of full stack web programming and database applications such as JavaScript, Python, PHP, HTML, CSS, SVG, jQuery, D3, MySQL, NoSQL, XML, Restful, WebSocket required.
  • Experience with scripting for data processing (Big Data) and automation tasks using languages such as Python and Matlab required.
  • Demonstrated experience with applying systems engineering tools and techniques throughout the life cycle of a project.
  • Must have comprehensive problem-solving skills and general engineering knowledge pertaining to quality, reporting and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with a willingness to work with others to foster a team spirit


It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience with Content Management Systems, like WordPress desirable
  • Experience with user interface (UI) and/or user experience (UX) design
  • Experience in Agile Software Development and DevOps Environment
  • Knowledge of satellite design, machine to machine communication, network communications, IOT (Internet of Things) or other complex systems is a plus
