This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for the State of Colorado, Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support on various technology platforms within the company.
  • Manage centralized ticket queue, assign & track tasks for timely resolutions.
  • Provide Level 2/3 technical support for data processing problems & production escalations (24x7 on-call escalation supports).
  • Provide data analysis on various technology platforms within the company and act as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Provide unit tests to prove issues are fixed
  • Perform regression testing
  • Release builds to production systems using CI/CD tools.
  • Normal maintenance of code base
  • Create new code or enhance new features as part of development projects with limited guidance
  • Provide and refine reproduction steps for production issues
  • Troubleshoot & rectify application errors by analyzing application/job logs, process and procedures and if needed, dive into a codebase easily to discover issues
  • Create and Execute complex SQL and UNIX scripts based on the business requirements.
  • Perform data analysis tasks with SQL in order to analyze data processing errors
  • Create complex adhoc reports using free form SQL based on user requests
  • Perform Data Enrichment/correction of sensitive data using SQL
  • Improve operational efficiency by automating the workflow
  • Create & maintain operational documentation & trouble shooting guides.
  • Continuously identify and takes initiatives to improve applications, processes and business logic to meet user needs as well as improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop an understanding of the business and application processes that exist within the company and provide consultation service to business & engineering team on how systems work, how processes interact with other system etc. in production environment
  • Build rapport across business various units to elicit problem details
  • Work with the on-shore team to co-ordinate the tasks.
  • Provide status to the management on regular basis.
  • Analyze and review the daily job outputs for the applications to ensure that any errors are addressed immediately and communicated to the respective user groups.
  • * Must be flexible to work during Pacific Time Zone



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years or equivalent experience in providing application support, performing code/bug fixes in production, technical analysis on data processing problems, analyzing application/job logs for troubleshooting & creating adhoc reports using SQL.
  • Strong knowledge and full stack experience in any one of the leading programming languages like Python or Java
  • Experience in handling and developing Restful APIs
  • Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration
  • Mature skills in data analysis, and in any one of the relational database like DB2, RedShift, MySQL, Netezza etc
  • Experience in creating complex SQL queries, reports
  • Experience in supporting & troubleshooting applications in various programming languages
  • Experience with AWS environments to check the service health and exposure to components EC2,SQS,S3,RDS etc
  • Knowledge or experience with one source control systems like github or bitbucket
  • Knowledge or experience with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with ReadyAPI/SoapUI
  • Experience with web technologies including XML, XSD, HTML, CSS, etc
  • Exposure in working with on-shore team
  • Must possess excellent team leadership skills and analytical skills to be a point of escalation
  • Excellent organizational and communicational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to absorb information quickly and retain this knowledge for future reference
