The role
We are seeking a Software Engineer (Back End) to join our Member Growth Engineering team. This team is responsible for the implementation of various growth constructs including specialized referral programs, campaign management and SoFi Rewards. The Growth Engineering team embodies one of SoFi’s core values in “Running After Problems” as we work across financial products and business teams with solutions to help them grow their member base and ultimately help our members get their money right.
What you’ll do:
- Delivering resilient and scalable code
- Owning and ideating on technical solutions for product requirements and user stories with minimal supervision
- Participating in code and design reviews
- Generating ideas for new initiatives and technologies
- Working in a fast-moving, highly-collaborative environment across multiple offices
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 2 years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack.
- Our core stack is Java/ Kotlin/ Spring / PostgreSQL/ React. Familiarity with any Java language and an understanding of relational databases is a must
- Experience in developing REST APIs
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests.
- Agile Development Experience
- API Design experience
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others, and get stuff done
- Solid sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion
- Affinity for solving problems and diving deep into the details
Nice to have:
- Experience with microservice architecture
- AWS stack with docker and kubernetes
