What does a great Director Information Technology do for Fiserv?

  • Responsible for enterprise-wide strategy formulation, vision implementation, operational tasks, cost, and risk management.
  • Expanded scope that may include Domestic and or International responsibility.
  • Works on moderate to complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the Function/BU/Fiserv.
  • Leads/directs projects and resources and has full responsibility for their outcomes. Plans and conducts assignments involving the larger and more important projects and resources. Oversees the progress of project goals and may oversee the outcomes of others simultaneously; evaluates results. May act in liaison with other departments, divisions, and organizations. Operates with latitude for unreviewed actions and/or decisions.
  • Evaluates progress and results and recommends major change in procedures.
  • Uses knowledge of new technology to estimate and advise concerning impact of decisions and services.
  • Formulates strategies to increase customer/user satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Work experience with document composition tools, workflow tools, data conditioning tools, transformation tools, and postal tools.
  • Familiarity with the following file formats; PostScript, PDF, AFP (Line Mode, Mixed mode and fully composed), PCL, LCDS, Line Mode, XML, JSON, CSV, SDF.
  • Must have a good understanding of ASCII and EBCDIC encoding standards and understand image files, both bitmap and vector based.
  • Familiarity with optimizing techniques for PDF and AFP documents. They should be familiar with various color management options (Pantone, CMYK and RBG)
  • Experience working with Offshore teams
  • Effectively communicate with internal teams and BU as needed
  • Attention to detail, analytical and problem solving, critical thinking, ability to learn faster, effective communication skills & team player
  • Ability to provide estimation and scheduling for assignment
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and issue resolution skills
  • Ability to provide innovative technical suggestions & propose solutions
  • Experience in dealing with architectural problems such as scalability, performance, reliability, usability & security
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills



Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience with the following tools.
  • Open Text Exstream GMC Quadient Inspire, ISIS, Ricoh Process Director, WinBatch, scripting (Bash, C or Korn), Data conditioning (Perl or Talend), Solimar, iText, Ricoh Transforms, BCC (CASS and NCOA
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum 8 years of relevant experience required
  • 7 or more years of professional experience in an Information Technology role and environment required
  • Previous leadership or management experience preferred
