The Red Hat North America (NA) Financial Services Sales team is looking for a Senior Specialist Integration Solutions Architect with experience working with banking or commercial customers to join us. In this role, you will win the trust and confidence of the customer's engineering, development, and operations teams by aligning their requirements and use cases with the capabilities of our solutions. You'll need to have a thorough working knowledge of and direct experience with integration patterns and middleware application architectures. You'll also need a solid understanding of how to use our unique middleware products like API management, Apache Kafka, Apache Camel, and Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes for implementing cloud native integrations. As a Senior Specialist Integration Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat's solutions, Product Engineering, Support, and Professional Services to meet the needs of our most demanding customers. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Help customers evolve their thinking about Red Hat Integration as the next generation cloud native integration platform
  • Position Red Hat Integration against industry leading integration platforms and pitch the value of Red Hat's offering
  • Help customers design, build, and deploy camel routes, messaging workloads on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform; hlp define monitoring and management capabilities for the integration platform for banking customers
  • Gain and develop an understanding of customer current state architectures, key metrics, application workloads, development environments, and lines-of-business concerns
  • Become a virtual Red Hat member of the customer teams, enabling and mentoring customers in the development and deployment of integration on Red Hat OpenShift
  • Work with customers to identify the roadblocks to Red Hat Integration adoption and work with the broader Red Hat's teams to remove these roadblocks
  • Promote architectures that scalably deploy Red Hat Integration on Red Hat's cloud platform.
  • Scope customer proof of concept (PoC) and guide customers through successful pilot or PoC
  • Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service, and support our cloud solutions at scale
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat's presales and services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk
  • Demonstrate vision and expertise in the cloud community by producing outstanding whitepapers, webinars, etc., and by speaking at top industry conferences
  • Serve as a customer advocate within Red Hat to deliver the right solutions and to ensure that those solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way


What you will bring

  • 6+ years of experience in a solutions architect or delivery role; 2+ years focused on cloud environments and their supporting infrastructure
  • Broad and deep technical experience middleware technologies like Java, Apache Camel, AMQ, Kafka, and Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
  • Extensive knowledge of application runtimes, messaging, enterprise container architectures and solutions
  • Very good understanding of DevOps processes, maturity models, and corresponding deep knowledge of toolsets for continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms


The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with microservices frameworks, serverless technologies, service mesh, and API management
  • Experience working in a presales or customer-facing role
  • Experience with Java development technologies like Spring Boot, WildFly Swarm, or JEE, including Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, WildFly, Oracle WebLogic, or IBM WebSphere
  • Familiarity with Java development frameworks like Spring, Netflix OSS, Eclipse Vert.x, and other technologies like Node.js, Ruby, PHP, Go, or .NET development
