ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Avaya Solutions Architect has the overall responsibility of designing, implementing, and executing a cloud migration strategy with our clients, cross-service teams, and third-party partners. The Senior Solutions Architect will need to understand the adoption challenges of implementing Unified Communication and Contact Center infrastructure and application stacks within a Federally certified cloud environment.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Solutions Architect has the responsibility for designing and documenting Avaya UC/CC architectures within a FedRAMP cloud environment for the following Avaya applications: System Manager, Session Manager, Communication Manager, Media Servers, Media Gateways, Avaya Aura Device Services, Avaya Session Border Controller Enterprise, Avaya Aura Web Gateway, Avaya Conferencing, Avaya Messaging, and Avaya Presence and Advanced Multimedia Messaging.

  • Design and deploy cloud solutions in compliance with Federal standards such as NIST S.P. 800-53, FIPS 199/200/140-2 and their associated downstream standards driving FedRAMP authorization.
  • Delineate system/application authorization boundaries based on logical (technical & physical) network boundaries while maintaining alignment with existing architecture and lines of the budget. Categorize systems by information type and impact levels.
  • Provide detailed reference architecture based on Avaya UC/CC solutions and integrating them with third-party hardware/software applications such as firewalls, load balancers, and other network components required to deliver a fully functional UC/CC solution.
  • Perform discovery of customer environments.
  • Develop cloud deployment workbooks including Solution Design Documents, maintain Visio diagrams of network design, and other deployment requirements.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of IT personnel consisting of Product Line Managers, security and compliance personnel early in the system development lifecycle to determine what requirements must be met before the accreditation of a new system.
  • Support engineering teams in building, testing, and upgrading the Avaya cloud environment.
  • Develop and maintain technical competencies for all Avaya OneCloud™ for Government solution elements.
  • Create, review and/or evaluate technical scopes of work.
  • Effectively represent solutions architecture to sales, security, customer, and compliance authorization personnel.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong RHEL and Microsoft Windows Server experience including deployment, installation, implementation, upgrading, and patching.
  • Strong VMWare toolset experience including deployment, installation, implementation, upgrading, and patching.
  • Strong experience with data security, data governance, PCI, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience engineering or delivering solutions relating to cloud architecture
  • Demonstrable experience with cloud and infrastructure on cloud platforms
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience deploying a full UC/CC solutions.
  • Demonstrable practical knowledge of emergency call handling solutions in a secure cloud environment such as the Avaya Sentry solution.

  • Desired Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • US citizen required
  • Meet the personnel security requirements and undergo background checks as defined in OPM policy IAW the FedRAMP Moderate baseline, the FedRAMP+ CEs related to personnel security, and DoD personnel security policies.
  • The position is open for remote/hybrid hiring .

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this opportunity is from $125,100 to 179,050 + performance-related bonus + benefits

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
