Senior Software Engineer

Our Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you'll achieve
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a part of a team in a very fast-paced, agile environment that requires strong technical ability, flexibility, sound judgment, and creative thinking. You will be responsible for developing sophisticated storage appliance software with a primary focus on hybrid and public cloud environments.

You will:• Contribute to the design and architecture of our industry-leading modern storage platforms and take part in the full software development life cycle, including development, test, continuous delivery, and support• Focus on enhancing our software stack to run natively in public cloud environments, including support of new hypervisors and (virtualized) hardware, development of new cloud-specific features, system performance optimization, and more
• Develop, review and implement test strategies for our cloud native systems

Essential Requirements• Solid understanding of modern Linux, including the kernel, drivers, containers, early boot, memory management, scheduling, and other low-level technologies• Good knowledge of system programming and languages such as C, Python, Perl, and bash• Good troubleshooting skills and ability to debug complex system-level problems• Knowledge of at least one primary virtualization stack (vSphere, Hyper-V, KVM, Xen); familiarity with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) customized virtualization stacks is highly desirable• Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience

Desirable Requirements• Bachelor's degree
• 4 to 6 years of related experience
