Backend Senior Java Developer (Atlanta or Redwood City)

Are you a Java Engineer looking for a new challenge in a company with an amazing culture?

Would you be interested in joining an established software company in Edinburgh?

This role will involve Java coding, interfacing with various other tools and other software.

Ideally you will have background in a mix of languages and systems and a passion for learning technologies.

Skills and Experience: •

• Java APIs
• RESTful
• Good knowledge of Java design patterns and software principles.
• Continuous integration and continuous delivery using DevOps tools like Maven, Jenkins, Git ,Github actions etc.
• Good knowledge of micro-services and API design principles (API development)
• Cloud infrastructure experience in GCP would be preferred but any Cloud experience such as AWS or Azure would be welcomed; or a desire to learn more.
• Good communication is key to achieving success in this role
• Some JavaScript experience would be useful

• Java developer responsibilities include designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Development and review of changes with a focus for design, efficiency, and quality
• Work as part of a team as well as working autonomously
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Contribute to improvements to the software development process
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
