Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.
These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle database development
• 5+ years of experience with Java development
• Experience with Oracle APEX development and services integration across applications and platforms
• Proficient with Java development
• Proficient with Database development
• Proficient with Oracle APEX 5 or higher
• Proficient with Database Design
• Proficient with PL/SQL and SQL
• Proficient with SQL Tuning
• Proficient with JavaScript
• Proficient with Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with installation and configuration of Oracle APEX and Oracle Rest Data Services
• Experience with coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing and operations
• Experience with database and application design documentation
• Experience with RedHat Linux 6+ scripting
• Experience with Java (any recent version and edition)
• Understands application design and development best-practices, standards and conventions
• Ability to craft complex technical solutions based on analysis of non-technical requirements
• Ability to analyze and refactor existing code to enhance performance, functionality and maintainability
• Familiarity with all aspects of Agile software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Enthusiasm, positive attitude, superb work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work as a team player
• Motivated to deliver high-quality applications without need for constant supervision, and willingness to take the initiative to get tasks done without prompting
