We are looking for a talented Software Engineer - Discovery to join our Content Experience team in Lehi, UT. You will be part of an effort to help users search across billions of pieces of data in their quest to find details of their past. Search and the presentation of our vast data collection is the most visited and widely used area of the Ancestry site and is the primary focus for millions of users.

This position is located in Lehi, UT. It is currently 100% remote. Ancestry expects employees to return to the office in an part remote/part onsite model. Relocation assistance is provided.

You will...

• Develop client-side applications using the latest JavaScript language features, frameworks and tools (Node.js)
• Work with Product Management & Search Services team to provide world-class software solutions
• Build, manage, and maintain excellent customer facing content-driven applications
• Follow best practices for code quality and testing

Who you are...

• JavaScript skills, including React, Node.js, and Angular
• CS fundamentals, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience designing and implementing large scale web applications, APIs, and frameworks
• Understanding of software development processes, including object-oriented analysis, design and implementation
